Welcome to Wicked Theatre... The Wicked Update Well, it’s been busy busy busy in Wicked Towers... Since the rehearsed reading in September, we’ve been working on the 2nd draft of Metamorphoses. Director Suba Das is back in London for the last leg of the TOWNSHIP STORIES tour, now at Theatre Royal, Stratford East.  Fantastic article in the New Statesman, and check out the feature on Newsnight Review on Friday 10th November.  Writer Dawn King’s collaboration with Penny Dreadful opens at Hoxton Hall on 21st November.  THE BITCHES BALL  is a gothic comedy set on the seedy side of 18th century London, inspired by the extraordinary life of the multi-talented Mary Robinson; actress, acclaimed poet, and royal whore. Check out new work by Morgan Lloyd Malcolm, nick gill and friends at THE APATHISTS, Theatre 503 @ The Latchmere, SW11, first Monday of the month.   Are you Wicked?  Job opportunities + work experience with Wicked Theatre and the Ovid Project We are pleased to announce the creation of seven new roles within Wicked Theatre: an Associate Producer, a Fundraising Manager, a PR and Marketing Assistant, a Webmaster, an Events Manager, an Education Officer and an Administrator.  Click here for more information.  They are all part-time, voluntary (for now!) positions, that will give you space to express yourself creatively, gain valuable experience, and build on the skills you already have.  We can provide all the training you need to fulfil the role.  We ask that you give around 5 hours a week to this, attend the fortnightly meetings, and have access to a computer, high-speed internet, and mobile phone.  Experience not always necessary, and some of these roles would be great for an actor wanting to establish themselves in a company, and we will guarantee you an audition for all our shows.  If you just want to get involved on a casual basis, we also offer Work Experience around your schedule.  To apply for any of these positions please email your CV and note saying what makes you wicked, to wickedpeople@wickedtheatre.com   The Rehearsed Reading On September 30th, 10 actors, 10 writers, 2 DJs, a rock band, and the entire Wicked team gathered in the Large Rehearsal Room of The Old Vic for a reahearsed reading of the first draft of The Ovid Project: Metamorphoses.
